Library

We are so proud of our library, which is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.  Our Librarian, Mr Moss, would be delighted to see you there.
Our Library Loyalty Card gives you a chance to win a £10 book token at the end of term.
The school subscribes to the School Library Service, so we try to update our stock as regularly as possible. If you have any specific requests, ask Mr Moss as he may be able to order it for you. We believe all of our children have the right to the same quality of literature as anyone else. Bookshops can be both hard to get to and expensive, so check with us first.

The nearest public libraries to the school are Thornhill Community Library, Bitterne Library and Woolston Library. More details can be found on the Southampton Libraries website, which you can find here. Many of them run free activities for children and adults.
We love reading at Hightown Primary School and listed below are some of the many benefits of reading for pleasure.
